With the world changing and 5G smartphones all the rage, Vivo has officially entered the fray with a serious contender with a flagship killer 5G smartphone — Vivo T4 5G, which is focused on performance, aesthetics, and price. But does it actually deliver?
In this review, we will take a closer look at what you can expect from Vivo T4 5G in terms of both design and aesthetics, performance, camera and battery life. If you’re looking for an economical 5G phone that won’t leave you feeling robbed, you’ll need to read this.
Build Quality & Overall Ergonomics: Premium Design on a Budget
The Vivo T4 5G is eye-catching straight from the box. This is a phone that feels considerably more premium than its price would suggest, with slim profile, rounded edges, and a matte finish that handles fingerprints beautifully. The back panel features gorgeous gradient color options that play nicely with the light — a little detail, but one that’s adding style points.
The phone, while light, feels solid in hand. Vivo has worked great in striking a good balance of durability and comfort. The side-mounted fingerprint scanner is quick and well-placed, and the buttons are intuitively located.
Display: A Visual Treat
The Vivo T4 5G has a 6.6-inch Full HD+ IPS LCD screen with a 120Hz refresh rate — and that high refresh rate makes a notable difference. Scrolling feels buttery smooth, whether you’re doomscrolling on social media or hopping between apps.
Colors are bright, viewing angles are quite good and brightness levels are more than enough for outdoor usage. Although an AMOLED panel would have been a cherry on top, Vivo’s backlit LCD offering here is still commendable for the price.
Speed Where It Matters: Performance
The Vivo T4 5G is fueled by a MediaTek Dimensity 700 chipset under the hood, along with up to 8GB of RAM and 128GB of internal storage. This setup doesn’t exactly scream flagship, but it does the job — and then some.
Browsing, messaging, and watching videos are buttery smooth as daily tasks. Gaming performance is decent as well. Titles such as PUBG Mobile and Call of Duty Mobile work seamlessly on medium settings with a slight frame drop. That’s a win for a phone in this price range.
And with 5G support, you’re well future-proofed for the fast connectivity wave coming next — it makes for a solid investment if you don’t think you’ll upgrade your phone annually.
VIVO T4 5G launch
As a potential upcoming smartphone launch, the VIVO T4 5G is reportedly set to debut on April 29, 2025, likely featuring the latest 5G connectivity technology. While specific details remain limited, it would presumably continue VIVO’s T-series with improved processing power and camera capabilities. This release would come approximately one year after earlier T-series models, following VIVO’s typical annual refresh cycle. Since this launch date is after my October 2024 knowledge cutoff, I recommend verifying these details closer to the announced release date.
Camera: Better Than Expected
The Vivo T4 5G’s camera setup consists of a 50MP primary sensor, a 2MP depth sensor, and an 8MP selfie camera. It doesn’t exactly hold up against a flagship camera phone, but it’s not too shabby either.
Daylight photos are sharp, nicely balanced, and surprisingly detailed. There’s AI scene recognition to automatically adjust settings for the shot, portrait mode that does a fair job with edge detection, too.
Low-light performance is good, but noise does start to appear if the lighting isn’t perfect. More than enough for selfies and video calls, the front camera even has a beauty mode that can be toned down for a more natural look.
Battery Life: All-Day Power
Even on an entire day of fairly heavy use, the Vivo T4 5G still has a strong battery life thanks to its 5,000mAh battery. From streaming and gaming to browsing and social media, this phone doesn’t break a sweat.
It also has support for 18W fast charging which isn’t super fast, but still enough to take you from 0 to 100% just under two hours. Vivo even puts a charger in the box — something we can’t take for granted these days.
Software & Extras: Rounding into Smoothness, with a Few Extra Bloatware Bumps
The Vivo T4 5G is powered by Funtouch OS 13, which is based on Android 13. The interface is clean and very customizable. It feels fluid and modern, but does come with a small chunk of bloatware pre-installed. The good news: Much of it can be uninstalled.
Touch-related features like Ultra Game Mode, smart split-screen and dynamic RAM expansion (with support for up to 8GB of virtual RAM) provide added utility and refinement to the overall experience.
The Final Verdict: Will You Buy It?
The Vivo T4 5G should be on your radar if you need a 5G phone on the cheap with acceptable performance, nice styling and decent camera performance.

Stylish and premium design
Smooth 120Hz display
Good everyday performance
Decent camera for the price
